    Arbitration Agreement with Croatia

    Slovenia and Croatia signed an Arbitration Agreement submitting their land and maritime border dispute, including Piran Bay, to the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague.

    PCA award on the Piran Bay border

    The Permanent Court of Arbitration rendered its Final Award, fixing the land and maritime boundary through Piran Bay and granting Slovenia a junction to the high seas; Slovenia accepted the award, Croatia rejected it.

    Piran Bay arbitration award

    The Permanent Court of Arbitration issued its Final Award on the Croatia-Slovenia border in the Gulf of Piran; Croatia, which had withdrawn from the process in 2015, declared it did not consider itself bound by the ruling.
